I recently heard that the head of (a major evangelical denomination) came out publicly to state that if there were any of their churches that were following “40 Days of Purpose”, they would no longer be considered a member of (that denonimation.) Why is this bad?

Concerning an earlier question of the fate of an unsaved soul. Jesus seems to answer this question with the parable of the rich man and Lazarus. The rich man at death was sent to suffer the flames, while Lazarus went to heaven and was comforted. Is the place the rich man is sent Hell and if so, is there any reference to the place of judgement before the rich man is sent to the flames?

I am a Christian and my husband is Muslim. We’ve both always wanted children, but have been avoiding it for the obvious reasons of how they will be raised morally and religiously. Neither of us want to budge either way. What does the Bible say about marriage issues such as this?

I firmly believe in once saved always saved, and the verses that once led me to doubt it, for the most part, have been explained to me. However there is one verse that I still can’t get my mind around, and that is Rev. 3:5. How do we explain that we have everlasting life if our names can be blotted out?

I recently read someone’s comment on a blog who believes that the Kenites were the descendants of Cain, and that Cain was the offspring of Satan and Eve. I found that this is called the “serpent seed” doctrine. Some also believe that Kenites were responsible for Jesus’ crucifixion and that modern-day Kenites are involved in carrying out Satan’s work. Isn’t it inconsistent with the scriptures?

I am gentile searching my Jewish roots. Recently I have attended a Messianic congregation with mainly gentiles. At one of the Shabbats the subject of life after death came up. I was shocked to find that the majority believed the spirit stays in the grave. Please help me get some understanding.

I have always felt called to work in the church, so when a position opened up a few years ago through kind of unusual circumstances, I believed that God was directing me to it. It is not at all what I expected. This church teaches some of the most bizarre doctrine I’ve ever heard.
