Line Upon Line, Precept Upon Precept

Isaiah 28:9&10 says line upon line precept upon precept, this is not only repeated in the same verse, but also in verse 13, I have always found that when something is repeated that many times it must be important. Could you please explain these verses to me?

Ezekiel 38 Question

Q. I recently read your series of articles on “7 Things you must know to understand Bible Prophecy”–a very excellent portion. Thank you so much! I do have a question however, concerning Ezek. 38.

Everyone seems to think this could be fulfilled any day now, given the current situation in Iran, and their connections with Russia. If that were true, then of course the Rapture could be at anytime also.

The Unforgivable Sin

Q. I need some help with clearing this up, I’m really confused about the unforgivable sin. I’ve been told by different people that its rejecting Jesus Christ at the Holy Spirit’s revealing he is the Savior or that its attributing the Miracles of Jesus Christ to Satan.

While the latter is really bad is it unforgivable? What would make it unforgivable? I can see how rejecting Christ becomes unforgivable but what about the other? I’m really confused. What do you think?

A. When the Pharisees attributed the Lord’s miraculous work to Satan (Matt 12:22-37) He accused them of blaspheming the Holy Spirit, whose power was evidenced in His miracles, and said that they wouldn’t be forgiven for that. Their actions were not the cause of their eternal condemnation, but were evidence that they hadn’t responded to His ministry of reconciliation, and had therefore condemned themselves. (John 3:18)

He then extended this unforgiveness to include all men. The reason for this is that in the Church Age blaspheming the Holy Spirit is an indication that the Holy Spirit isn’t sealed within the person, and therefore the person isn’t saved. It also shows that their hearts are hardened to a point where they never will answer the Lord’s call on their lives.

So in a sense, both of your statements are correct. No believer would ever attribute the Lord’s miracles to Satan. It’s unthinkable. Only a person who is beyond redemption could even conceive of doing such a thing.

Doubts About Salvation

I notice from time to time I have doubts about my salvation and it really bothers me. Sometimes I think it’s my Catholic upbringing which stressed good works or it’s the Enemy trying to scare me. Your thoughts? Is this normal from time to time?

The Early Church And The Rapture

We are studying Revelation in the home study at my house, and I know I am going to butt heads with the leader over the Rapture. He is convinced of a
“mid trib” Rapture, because he doesn’t believe we would be taken out of the world to escape persecution, which is all he sees in the first half, not the wrath of God.

Revelation 10-11:14

A Bible Study by Jack Kelley

We take a break from the Trumpet Judgments now to give the world its final warnings before the Great Tribulation begins. These are the Seven Thunders and the Two Witnesses that God has sent to Israel to warn His people to “get right with God” while there’s still time.

Are All Jews Saved?

I have read the responses to the question “Are all Jews Saved?” and am confused. In effect you’re saying that God condemned them to eternity in hell because some nation had to be an example for all of the world to hate in order to fulfill God’s plan. I believe that the Old Covenant must be in effect throughout the “time of the Gentiles” for those Jews who keep it. Doesn’t this describe our Creator better?

Talking With God

I consider myself a new believer having only been born again a little over a year ago. I feel a change in my prayer life since then. However, I still can’t honestly say that God clearly speaks to me. Is this just a natural place for me to be as a young believer and something that will intensify over time or am I missing something?
