I have a friend who says salvation is based on “steps.” When I questioned her further, she said that means accepting Christ as her Savior, getting baptized, and being obedient. This is obviously against the Scriptures which clearly teaches trusting Christ as your Savior is the only way to Salvation. How can I best present this to her besides the usual John 3:16 or Ephesians 2:8,9 because she seems to know all the basic Scriptures, studies God’s Word daily, yet can’t see the light!

I have a question regarding satan. If he indeed studies scripture to know what he knows about the future, then why didn’t he know about Jesus’ coming crucifixion and what it was going to accomplish? I have read that if he could look into the future, he would have never let it happen. Am I missing something?

Read Post »

I lead a small group in our church. One of the couples seem to be very good at getting us off-track from the study. As a leader, I don’t know how far to let the discussion wander from the point. Do you have any insights into the issue of leading small group discussions?
