Many Are Called But Few Are Chosen

Re: “Many are called but few are chosen.” What exactly does this mean? I’m afraid that I won’t make it if only a few are going to Heaven.

Q. I was reading the Bible and I stumbled onto Matthew 24:4-5.
“Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.”
Am I right to interpret the fact that Jesus said “many will come in my name” as fellow Christians? That people who are supposedly followers of Christ will be part of the ones who will deceive many especially in the end times?

Q. I want to thank you for your web-site as it has been an immense help to me. I was wondering if you could go into more detail about defending the pre-trib rapture against those who want to throw up the last trump defense. I’ve seen you touch on it and I’ve read a good rebuttal somewhere in the past but I can’t for the life of me remember what all it included. In summary, in 1 Cor. 15:52 is this last trumpet the same as in Rev.11:15? Thank you and may God bless your ministry.

Q. In Jeremiah 16:14-16, God the Father speaks of the regathering of Israel “a second time.” In verse 16, the Lord states “I am about to send for many fishermen… Then I will send for many hunters…”
What are your thoughts on this intriguing Scripture?

I am a native American born-again Christian and our tribe is in the beginning stages of getting a casino up and running. Is it scripturally wrong to take a monthly check from the Indians that has come from gambling?

In your articles you say that children under the age of accountability will automatically enter the Church at the Rapture, having made no decision for themselves. Given the Church’s position, being God’s shining example of all His goodness, doesn’t it seem that defaulting children into it, kind of lowers its high position?

Most people believe that children before they reach the age of accountability will be saved. How does that belief square with the children that were destroyed in the flood and the children, along with the men and women, that God told the Israelites to kill in conquering the promised land?

My question pertains to Mark 3:28-29. How does a person blaspheme against the Holy Spirit? Can a person blaspheme against the Holy Spirit unaware?

I have been considering Bible college, however, my rabbi doesn’t feel that is it truly necessary. I trust his opinion but was wondering if you know of any good reasons for or against going to Bible college.
