I am trying to reseach the bible on a couple who deceived either God or Jesus concerning earned monies and their profit. Who was the couple and what is the bible reference?

What is the significance of praying? Does something
begin to happen in the spiritual realm when we pray
that we don’t see?

In all of scripture I have found but one verse that appears to back up the traditionally Catholic doctrine of transubstantiation (i.e. Presence of Christ dwells literally in the bread and wine).
I just wanted to get your take on this verse, which has confounded this ex-Catholic.

In your article on Daniel’s 70 weeks, the bit that bothers me a little is the timing of Christ’s entry into Jerusalem. On the second page, you state that the decree by Artaxerxes was made in March 445 BC, then “exactly 483 years after that the Lord Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey …” Putting these two figures together would make the year of our Lord’s death as 38 AD. How does that firgure with the usual age of 33 years at His death?

May God bless you and your family in this new year! My question is about the passage in Matthew 2:15 that stated that when Joseph took Mary and Jesus out of Egypt after Herod died it was a fulfillment of the prophecy in Hosea 11:1. However, it seems like that is really out of context.

I go to a church that does fasting different than I’ve ever heard. I believe that you give up food in some way or totally for as long as you feel God would expect of you as an individual. I have heard that a person can fast things like giving up T.V or some kind of pleasure. I do not believe in this as to me it seems like one is giving up a sin that should not be in your life any way.

Through my extreme stupidity as a young man I read the satanic bible…my question is; can a person sell his soul? I pray that it isn’t mine to sell, that it belongs to God the Father…
Thank you…

What do you think of the Independent, a leading British daily, describing the Virgin Mary as a “Palestinian refugee in Bethlehem”?

How are we now obligated to follow the law that we were never given or required to follow? And if we are suppose to tithe as the law states to the Jews, why don’t we have to follow the other 412 laws that were given to them?

My problem in understanding the trinity reallly comes because Christ is characterized as a seperate being many times in the Bible. When He manefested Himself to Moses, and when He sits at the right hand of the Father being just two situations. Are the father and son (and holy spirit) only one in purpose or are they one in species, or are they in fact only one in being?
