Warrior Angels

Q. My question regarding Daniel 10: 13, “But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia.”

Is this a physical resistance, spiritual, or some form of restraining that can’t be explained to a human?  Do God sent angels and fallen angels fight in the sense that we humans fight with weapons?  Or does the spirit world fight with words from the Lord?

More On Children In The Rapture

Q. I’ve read in several of your answers that you believe all children under the age of accountability will be taken during the rapture, even the children of non Christian parents. And I think that is wonderful as the more that can escape the tribulation the better. My question is simply this, that if the children of the wicked were left to die with their parents during Noah’s flood and at Sodom/Gomorrah. Why would the children of non Christians be taken at the rapture? Is there scripture that leads you to believe this? Thank you for a magnificent and informative site, I admire your work and dedication very much.

Israel And The Fig Tree

Q. We were studying Luke 13 in Sunday School last week.  In your opinion, what’s the meaning of the parable in verses 6-9?

Then he told this parable: “A man had a fig tree, planted in his vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it, but did not find any. So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, ‘For three years now I’ve been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’
” ‘Sir,’ the man replied, ‘leave it alone for one more year, and I’ll dig around it and fertilize it. If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.’ ”

And There Was Evening And There Was Morning

Commentary by Jack Kelley

The other day I received an interesting response to my answer stating that the Bible supports an approximate 6000 year history for the human race. This person didn’t dispute the Bible, only our interpretation of it, in disagreeing with my answer.

The essence of his response was that since science has found what it considers to be persuasive evidence that contradicts the literal view of the creation account, then our traditional interpretation of the language in Genesis 1 has to be flawed.

Does The Bible Promise To Keep Us Out Of God’s Wrath?

Q. We have a friend who is very knowledgeable in the Word, and we meet for study every week. We have only one main disagreement, and although we have discussed it at length many times, he keeps going back to the same argument.  He is not convinced that there is a rapture, and believes instead that the Church will be protected somewhere on earth by the Lord during the Tribulation period. He is fairly much convinced that the woman in Revelation 12 is the Church, but this is the only scripture he can really use to support his view.  We have pointed out that this woman is Israel, and having given birth to a child, can’t be a virgin bride.

The Book Of Life

Q. I have a question regarding Revelation 3:5 and the Book of Life. My pastor recently preached this verse to say that all the names of every human being who ever lived has their name written in the Book of Life, then if they die without faith in Christ, their name is blotted out. However, when I look at this verse it speaks of not blotting out names. I have always understood that the Book of Life has only ever contained the names of the elect, and that this verse assures us that we cannot lose our salvation: if we have repented of our sin and accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, then we can never lose the promise of our eternity with Christ, we can never be blotted out of the Book. Can you please clarify this for me?

Are Pastors Preaching Heresy At Funerals?

Q. In one of your questions the person makes a statement about people going to heaven when they die.   Your reply does not seem to answer this point fully, to my mind.  My question is, where do they get their info from?  Where in the Word does it say that anyone goes to heaven when they die?
