Ezekiel 38, The Rapture, And Revelation

Q.  I always thought that the Rapture was the sure signal of the start of the 70th Week.  You disagree, so what is the sign of the start? If the Church is gone by Rev. 5, can we assume the Rapture occurs in Chapter 4?  Something you wrote several years ago  says the Rapture occurs around the time of Ezekiel 38. Where is Ezekiel 38 in Revelation?

Does Might Mean Maybe?

Q.  Re: the word “might”.  This word is used in some versions of the Bible as in,’that through Him we MIGHT be saved.’ There are many other examples, i.e. ‘that we MIGHT become the Sons of God’, etc. What is the exact meaning in these instances of the use of this word? Many believers that I know think that it God is saying that these are not solid promises because might, to them, means ‘MAYBE, or it’s possible, but that it is not a sure thing. How to explain??

Why The Delay?

Q.  Why the mystery? Why is it important for man not to know about the day and the hour of Jesus’ return? Why the delay once the Sign is seen?

Is Matt. 24:9-14 For The Church?

Q.  Unfortunately for me, I believe that Mathew 24:9-14 is all pre-trib, pre-rapture and coming very soon.  There sure wont be ‘many’ false prophets running around during the tribulation, maybe one.   God sure didn’t spare Israel from wrath.  Crazy thing is my pre-trib philosophy excluded a possibility that God is angry at the U.S.  And when He gets angry people die, and being God, He may not wait until the Tribulation to settle up.  This warm fuzzy pre-trib business may end soon.  Few are prepared.  Fewer are speaking about it.

Preterist Or Futurist?

Q.  Recently I’ve heard of books by a well known author who says the Bible makes no distinction between Israel and  the Church, so when Revelation talks of Israel it really means the Church. Also, he holds that Revelation was written before 70 A.D, so the everything that happened in Revelation was fulfilled before 70 A.D, because Nero was the anti-christ and everything in the book happened to the Church under his persecution. My two questions are: does the Bible make a distinction between Israel and the Church? And also, when was Revelation written?

Pseudo Matthew

Q.  My pastor quoted references from the Pseudo Matthew gospel a couple of weeks ago, and I had never heard of this.  When I did some research, this sounded like false teaching.  What can you tell me about this?

Enticed Into A Cult

Q.  What would become of people who were brought up in a Bible believing church but were enticed to join some cultist organizations who only pick few chapters and back up their beliefs by brainwashing methods? Can the poor people be blamed for being led wrongly?

Salmo 96

Rapture Or Occupation?

Q.  Several months ago during my meditation, the thought came to me that America is going to experience its own “Babylonian Occupation” as in the time of Daniel. Last week, as I surfed the internet, I came across video of politicians quoting Isaiah 9:10 after the 9/11/01 attacks.  When I read Isaiah, I realized that it was a verse of defiance from the Israelites vs. turning back to God. With the creep of Islamic law in this country, could we be looking at a similar situation vs. one that includes a rapture, at this time?

Saving Believers In Name Only

Q.  Do you ever get the feeling that the born again should try to focus more truth spreading on the so-called believers that are essentially just grace+works type church/clergy members, instead of trying to reach “sinners” only?  Seems like an even more difficult task to me, but I ask because with the nearness of the rapture.  I can’t imagine a more surprised, disappointed, terrified group than that of the ‘believing’ unsaved after the rapture.
