Faith Plus Works

This is about Faith and works. As I see it, faith to have power to move mountains as Jesus speaks must have works, that is, it must have some sort of action on our part to complete it.

When Jesus healed the blind man, he put spit on his eyes, the spit had no power in itself but his faith plus the action of putting the spit on his eyes healed the man!! FAITH and works, as when Moses held the rod over the sea ETC ETC ETC it is all through the bible, from Noah to Jesus. If we want rain, we put out our buckets !!!!!!

A. Doing something to demonstrate your faith, putting out the buckets, is an example of what James 2:17 says about faith without works being dead. But when you begin to depend on your works instead of your faith, like the Pharisees did, believing that with them you can earn, or keep, that which God said could only be accepted as a free gift out of His grace, you’ve gone over the line.
