What Was Peter Talking About?

Q. When Acts 2:20 states, “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and
the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and terrible day of
the Lord,” do you think that means before the last 1/2 of the trib, or
sometime just before or at Christ’s physical return to the Mount of
Olives?

A. Peter was quoting Joel 2:31 where the context is the Great Tribulation.  Since John used the same phrase in Rev. 6:12 describing the 6th seal judgment, I would say Peter was referring to the time before the Great Tribulation in Acts 2:20 as well .
