Pleading The Blood

Q. We pray and plead to cover us with the precious Blood of Jesus so that we would be protected from the dangers of this world.  I would be thankful if you could let me know the Bible reference/Quote to this effect.

A. There is no verse that specifically promises protection through the Blood of Jesus. This is the closest one.

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. (1 John 1:7)

From this and other verses we can infer that as believers we have a certain amount of protection from the evil that abounds in this world.
