I notice that when you mention 1 Cor. 2:9 you never put it in context with the following verse. I think it changes the meaning when you do, I’m probably wrong but just wondered.
Q. I notice that when you mention 1 Cor. 2:9 you never put it in context with the following verse. I think it changes the meaning when you do, I’m probably wrong but just wondered. Thank you
A. 1 Cor. 2:9 says,
However, as it is written:
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him”.
The next verse says. “But God has revealed it to us by His Spirit.”
What it means is that through His Spirit, God has revealed that there is a wonderful eternity waiting for us. But He hasn’t given us very much detail about it, so it doesn’t change the way I use the verse. No one can clearly “see” or even fully imagine, let alone describe, the extent of the blessings He has prepared for those who love Him.
