How Long Can Israel Go On Like This?

Do you think that Jesus would consider the modern state of Israel today a ” synagogue of Satan”? I often wonder how long God will allow the nation of Israel to exist without recognizing Jesus as Messiah. The year 2018 ( Lord willing ) will be 70 yrs. that the Jews have been back in the land.

It seems as if the Jews have been in a type of Captivity within the Land since 1948.

Between the political pressure from the U.S.A and Europe and terrorism from it’s neighbors one would think they would at least look at the possibility that their suffering may be a result of their willful blindness. Many Orthodox Jews don’t think there should be a Nation of Israel until all Jews repent and return to God, they see the modern state of Israel as illegitimate and apostate…in some respects I see their point.

A. Ezekiel 37 says that Israel will be re-gathered in the latter days, but hints that at first they’ll be an unbelieving nation. They don’t officially become a covenant observing people again until after the Battle of Ezekiel 38-39.

But even that is an Old Covenant relationship, which is why they’ll build a Temple. Zechariah 12:10 tells of their national conversion to belief in Jesus as their Messiah, which will happen toward the end of the Great Tribulation.

God has promised never to forget Israel no matter what. (Jer. 31:35-36) One of the reasons for the Great Tribulation is to bring Israel to a saving faith in the Messiah.
