Can you help me find a Biblical reference to validate our concept that gambling is sinful ?

Q. Can you help me find a Biblical reference to validate our concept that gambling is sinful?

A. I haven’t found any specific reference to gambling being a sin in the Bible. I believe the notion arose because so many believe it to be wrong due to the problems it can cause. And it does feed on one of man’s greatest temptations, greed.

Deut. 7:17-18 says that our ability to produce wealth comes from the Lord. I personally feel that no one who truly believes that would waste what He’s given us in such a way, but that’s just my opinion.
