A. According to Islamic tradition the 12th Imam, known as al Mahdi, was born in 868 AD and at age 5 was placed in hiding (called occlusion) by Allah to re-appear at the end of the age. He’ll do so during a time of great chaos and despair to restore peace to Earth and usher in a period of world wide adherence to Islam.
