Sinning Unknowingly

Is it possible to sin unknowingly?

Q. Is it possible to sin unknowingly?

A. Yes, it is. Sinning is so much a part of our nature that we do it without even realizing that we are. That’s why in Psalm 19:12-13 King David wrote,

Who can discern his errors? Forgive my hidden faults. Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then will I be blameless, innocent of great transgression.

David admitted that he wasn’t objective enough to judge his own behavior and asked God to forgive the sins he wasn’t even aware of committing, and to keep him from sinning consciously as well. Only then would he be cleansed from his sins.
