How shocked is the church today about the apostasy found in it?

Q. How shocked is the church today about the apostasy found in it?

A. I think the majority of those who say they’re part of the Church don’t have a clue about any apostasy in their midst. Those few who do see it know it’s a fulfillment of prophecy. In 2 Tim 4:3 Paul wrote that in the last days people would not put up with sound doctrine but would look for teachers who would say what they want to hear. And in 2 Thes. 2:3 he wrote that this apostasy would be a sign that the true Church would soon be gathered to the Lord.
