My Country Right or Wrong?

Q. I have a question. What should I do when my own country is pressuring Israel to give up more of the Holy Land?  I am so distressed in these the last days, when my own country America, which I love, is working against the plan of God in the Holy Land.

A. It is distressing to all of us who see our government, supposedly founded on Christian principles as one nation under God, acting in ways that are obviously contrary to God’s will. There are two things we can do. We can tell our elected representatives that we don’t agree with their actions, and if they don’t listen we can vote for someone who will. And we can pray. Of the two, I personally think prayer is more likely to work. The Bible commands us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, so by doing that we’re doing what God wants.
