The Beast … System Or Man?

Q. Thanks for your great articles. I recently received from a friend a DVD called “Cracking the Prophetic Code”. He says the beast is a system, not a man. I stopped watching after about 20 minutes when I realized this was what he was teaching. My thought is in chapter 19 the beast is cast alive into the lake of fire. Only a man could be cast alive, right? Just a quick note from you would suffice, or could you do an article? I really appreciate your columns. I have on occasion used them at our home fellowship.

A. The frequency of personal pronouns used in reference to the beast makes it obvious.  He is a man. He controls a system and enforces its administration world wide, but first and foremost he’s a man indwelt by Satan.
