The Sons Of God

Could you please tell me who is referred to in Genesis when it speaks of the sons of God? My kids asked me and I did not have an answer for them.

A. If you’re referring to Genesis 6, the Sons of God are fallen angels who violated God’s orders by assuming human form, marrying human women and having children with them. These children were called Giants, or Nephilim, and had supernatural abilities. They may have taken over a major portion of the ancient world and were one of the main reasons for God destroying everything in the Great Flood.
