Angel Feathers

I’m just watching a very joyous preacher working in Florida on TV. He’s knocking people down with the power of the Holy Spirit. He said that he held a service once and 34 angel feathers floated down.
Is there anything in the Book that says angels have feathered wings? Or wings even?

What I would like to question is this: he has just said that he held a service once and 34 feathers floated down. 34 angel feathers he said. The audience were very appreciative of this.

Is there anything in the Book that says angels have feathered wings? Or wings even? I always thought that feathered wings were just a human way of depicting the indescribable.

A. I think he was indulging in some needless theatrics. Where are the feathers now? Does he still have them? Did any one analyze them to see where they came from? Don’t you think that the appearance of angel feathers would be a major news story? Humans have only seen angels in human form. We don’t know what they look like in their natural states. Psalm 91:4 says that God has feathered wings but most scholars believe that’s just figurative language.

The bigger question you should ask yourself is why did this man feel that he had to tell a story like this to get his message across? Doesn’t he believe that the gospel is good news enough?
