My question is how can this possibly continue until the end of seventy years from 1948 or 1967.

You have already cleared my mind on so many points of conjecture that I feel like I am imposing but!!!!!!!!!

Please remember that what I’ve said is that all end times prophecy could be fulfilled by as early as 70 years from 1948 (2018) but no later than 70 years from 1967 (2037). Then look at all the prophecy that has to be fulfilled and the gaps of time that will necessarily come between.
For example we have to have a false peace after the coming war in the Middle East, but before the Battle of Ezekiel 38, after which there’ll be some period of time that elapses while the world recovers from it.
Then we’ve got some time while God calls all His people back to Israel (Ezek 39:28), then Daniel’s 70th week, the Great Tribulation, and the 2nd Coming. No one knows what gaps of time will be spent between some of these events.
But aside from all of this, we’ve got the Rapture which could occur at any time. So while the Church might not have much time left at all, there might be another gap of time while the world recovers from our disappearance. And finally remember that there’s only 11 years until 2018 and 30 years till 2037.
