Did the early Catholic church create the Muslim faith? I ask this due to my own research which has not given me any solid evidence either way. From my understanding the Catholic church of that era created Islam to control the Jews and Christians for the Catholic church, but it got out of hand and Islam exploded into what we have today. Do you have any information about this?
This one ranks right up there with claims that the people in Israel today aren’t real Jews and that Paul invented Christianity to get back at the Jews. People who dream up and distribute this sort of stuff demonstrate how gullible and/or ignorant they think the rest of us are.
The Catholic church is on record as saying that the God of Israel and the god of Islam are the same, and because of this the plan of salvation includes Muslims. But that’s a long way from saying the Catholic church created Islam.
