I was wondering if you had a chance to wonder about Javier Solana’s comments last week in regards to the peace that is supposed to come to Israel and it’s enemies. Solana said that he expects an agreement will come in about 9 months.
With this being said by Solana, could this be the covenant that Daniel was talking about? “And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week”? I find it very interesting also that Solana chose 9 months for the agreement. Especially when we see birth pangs happening to the earth. Around 9 months is the amount of time when a child is born. If so, wouldn’t that mean the rapture of the church would be right about now or very, very soon?
I think we’re still a step or two away from the covenant called for in Daniel 9:27. More likely, whatever peace terms are arranged within the next year will set Israel up for the sneak attack of Ezekiel 38. It’s on the heels of that attack that Daniel’s covenant will be made.
Since Daniel’s covenant includes the construction of a Temple, it requires a prior acknowledgment of God by Israel as a nation. That’s not the case today and won’t be until after the Battle of Ezekiel 38 is supernaturally won by God on Israel’s behalf. (Ezekiel 39:22)
But since I believe the Rapture will take place around the time of Ezekiel 38 and before Daniel’s covenant is made, the answer is still yes, we’re getting very close.
