In the Ask a Bible Teacher’s Prophecy and Current Events question you said, “I don’t believe there’s any specific mention of Germany in prophecy”. I have been taught that Ezekiel 38-39 mentions Germany as Gomer. Is this wrong, and if so, can you tell me where Gomer actually is? Thank you so much and God Bless you and your wonderful ministry!!

Gomer was a son of Japeth and brother to Magog. He inhabited the Rhine and Danube valleys, and can be associated with Eastern Europe of today. Much of Eastern Europe is Moslem, which is the binding element of the Gog Magog coalition. While Ashkenaz was a son of Gomer’s and can be identified with Germany, Germany today is decidedly non-moslem.
