How long can the Earth go on? Are the Birth Pangs getting stronger and stronger? Surely we must be the last generation?

How long can the Earth go on? Are the Birth Pangs getting stronger and stronger? Surely we must be the last generation?
A. The birth pangs are getting more intense and more frequent, and yes, we are the blessed generation. But remember, Jesus promised that all the end times signs would be fulfilled within the lifetimes of the generation being born around the time Israel re-emerged in 1948 (about 70 years), not within the span of one generation (about 40 years) as some incorrectly teach.
And some also believe that He later tied the beginning of the End to the time of Jerusalem becoming a Jewish city again.
So, if you add 70 years to Israel’s rebirth in 1948 you get 2018. Adding 70 to 1967 when Jerusalem became an undivided Jewish city brings you to 2037. If either of these dates is a correct starting point, That gives us a 19 year window within which all end times prophecies including the 2nd Coming must be fulfilled.
Whether it’s as early as 2018 or as late as 2037, many of us will still be alive to see it all. And of course, since it’s not connected to any other end times event, the Rapture could happen at any time now. Better stay alert.
