Left Behind On Purpose?

Q

Do you think that it’s possible that Jesus has chosen some of us to stay behind at the time of the rapture to help certain others? I have had some very clear and specific dreams to that effect and have been looking for any Biblical evidence to support this, but haven’t found any.

A

You haven’t found any Biblical evidence that some Church Age believers will be left behind on purpose to help certain others because there isn’t any.

If your dreams have left you with this impression, you should consider the possibility that they’re really meant for now, before the rapture. If the certain others you’re supposed to help are known to you, put their names before the Lord in prayer and ask for His guidance on how to get started. If not, ask Him to reveal them to you.

Our life is a ministry and our experiences are our credentials. We shouldn’t be surprised if God arranges for us to cross paths with someone we are uniquely qualified to help. If or when that happens, we should hasten to respond while we can.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God” (2 Cor. 1:3-4)
