More On What Does It Take?

A.  I think a believer must accept the deity of Jesus to be saved. Setting aside the claims of John (John 1:1), Paul (Col. 1:15-16), Jesus (John 10:30, John 14:9) and even God (Hebr. 1:8) to that effect, the Bible makes it very clear no one else could have met the requirements to be our redeemer.  What I said in my answer is I don’t believe that’s  a necessary precondition for salvation.  I think it’s one of the first things the Holy Spirit teaches us afterward.
