Moslem Vs. Moslem
I just read your latest article on Daniel 11 and something puzzles me about these empires that seem to be controlled by evil princes. Why would they fight each other? What does Satan care about which form of Islam to use?
Q. I just read your latest article on Daniel 11 and something puzzles me about these empires that seem to be controlled by evil princes. Why would they fight each other? But, yet history shows us they do squabble. If each of these empires is under the influence of the evil one, then why would Satan allow the lieutenants in charge of each region squabble with each other?
It seems counter productive to have Shia (Iran) engage in conflict with Sunni (Egypt) when both want the destruction of God’s nation Israel. Does this reveal that the spiritual princes in charge of these regions struggle to control their human dictator counterparts? Does Satan struggle to control his regions? What does he care about which form of Islam to use? Why not just convince them to shed their differences and unite against Israel now, yet half the news coming from Iraq today is Shia vs. Sunni “internal” war. Lebanon is another example of muslim vs. muslim. It seems to me that every bullet fired at each other is one less bullet to fire at their common enemy Israel. Does Satan really have control of these Islamic regions?
A. Ezekiel 38:21 says that one way God will defeat the Moslem attackers is to “turn every man’s sword against his brother.” In Rev. 9 when the locusts are released from the abyss, they can only harm those who don’t have the seal of God on their foreheads, even though they’re demonic beings. So here we have Satan’s forces attacking Satan’s followers. And in Rev. 17 it’s the forces of the anti-Christ who destroy the great prostitute. Rev. 17:16-17 says, “The beast and the ten horns you saw will hate the prostitute. They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire. For God has put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to give the beast their power to rule, until God’s words are fulfilled.
God can obviously use even the enemy’s forces to achieve His goals, and we’re seeing the beginning of this in the Shia / Sunni conflict.
