New Heavens And A New Earth.

Within the Olivet Discourse from Matthew 24:32-36, verse 35 states that “Heaven and earth will pass away…” I’m a bit confused in that the consensus seems to be that the earth and Heaven will remain into eternity. Is this wrong?

A. In both Isaiah 65:17 and Rev. 21:1 the Bible says that God will create new Heavens and a new Earth. 2 Peter 3:10 contains a similar reference. Just when this will happen is a matter of opinion, but it’s clear that it’s God’s intention to do so. This is what Jesus was referring to.
