No Animal Sacrifice For Me

Q

I was wondering. Could the person who offers the sacrifices in the temple when it is rebuilt in Ezekiel 40-48 be the anti-Christ? I know that the Holy Spirit lives in me and I just can’t see the Lord having anyone sacrifice animals. I surely wont be sacrificing animals, to me it would be an abomination.

A

Since Ezekiel 40-48 describes Israel in the Millennium after the anti-Christ is defeated and thrown into the lake of fire (Rev. 19:20), he can’t be the one offering the sacrifices. And unless you’re a Jewish priest working the the Temple you won’t be offering any either. Nor will any be offered on your behalf. You’ll be living in the New Jerusalem where there is no Temple, and you’ll be a perfected being who will no longer sin.

But the Bible clearly states that animal sacrifices will be required by God during the Kingdom Age on Earth. When your mind is no longer contaminated by your sin nature and you begin to see things the way God sees them, you’ll understand the reason for these sacrifices and will no longer think of them as abominations.
