The Mayan Prophecies

Published: October 26, 2007
Q

I was watching the History channel last night and they had a show about the Mayan prophecies which sounded quite astonishingly similar to Christ’s descriptions of the end times. Also their date predictions are quite similar to yours with respect to beginning and end of times. They claim to have received their knowledge from a white man with blue eyes and long white hair and beard (perhaps one of Satan’s angels?).

Their prediction is for 2012 when the sun will align in the center of the Milky Way through what they called an evil black hole that leads to the netherworld. Science confirms the coming alignment but how were they able to predict this 2000 years ago? How did they acquire such an advanced understanding of astronomy and time 1000’s of years ago? What are your thoughts on the Mayans?

Can you help me find a Biblical reference to validate our concept that gambling is sinful?

Did God Create Dinosaurs?

Published: October 23, 2007
Q

I read a theory that all the dinosaurs were carried on the ark, with all the other animals, when they were young, and thus small in size, allowing them to fit inside. But the fact that all, except possibly the crocodile, are now extinct, means this is unlikely (a disease that only effects dinosaurs? Maybe, but unlikely).

The other theory I’ve heard, is yours – that they were genetically changed animals produced by the Nephilim, when they inhabited the Earth.

I’ve come across a few issues. In Job 40:15-24 God tells Job that He created the behemoth, a dinosaur, which sounds like an Apatosaurus. In Job 41 God tells him about the Leviathan, which in Psalm 104:26 is also said to be created by God.

These verses say God created at least one type of dinosaur, and one, as yet unseen, sea monster. How do you think this fits? Did God create the dinosaurs, and then wipe them out exclusively? Did the Nephilm tamper with a few of them? Or is there a third answer?

Falling Away

Published: October 22, 2007
Q

Where we live, the Bible has been strongly defended by many – in the past, that is. Having to leave a church because of the apostasy coming in & not being able to find anyone who cared, we visited many churches only to find the same thing. Many contemplative authors being “pushed”.

Having lived in this area forever – we know many of these people who have confessed Jesus as Savior and Lord – yet they have not wanted to hear that they are listening to false teaching.

So – it looks more to us, that the great “falling away” is actually believers in Christ, who are walking down the dangerous path of false teachings & worship practices (contemplative) thus threatening their heart allegiance to Christ. They don’t want to hear anything negative. So, with us seeing that, wouldn’t they comprise more of the bulk of the “fallen away” end times apostasy? That they are “choosing” to worship false idols?

After reading your comments on Jordanian control of the Temple Mount I’m getting the feeling that you think King Abdullah the second is none other than the AC!! Can you boldly tell us that he is and if not who do you think it is for the record?

End Times Signs In Israel?

Published: October 17, 2007
Q

In placing the glorious appearing as between 2018 and 2037, that being our possible window, I’m deducing that time frame exists because you feel that Is. 11:11-12 was fulfilled in 1948 at the re-birth of Israel.

Upon reading that passage it seems that this will be fulfilled during the millennium. Also, in Luke 21:20-24, Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled; how can you be sure this has already been fulfilled when the next verse speaks of signs in the sun moon and stars which clearly hasn’t happened yet.

I understand relating this generation to the one living at the time these signs are given, but find it difficult to cross reference it with the prophecies specifically related to the re-birth of Israel. I think I must be missing something here.

Eternal Punishment?

Published: October 15, 2007
Q

Where did the concept of eternal punishment for all but 1% of the worlds population throughout history come from…because it wasn’t the bible. What does this mean in the face of Jesus saying ‘it is finished’; and the stated will of God to save all men; or the fact that gehenna, sheol, or hades do not depict eternal punishment but grave, pit, and a greek concept from their pantheon. Please comment.

Armageddon Question

Published: October 10, 2007
Q

I have a question about the kings of the east and the motive for Armageddon. I understand that you believe the 6th trumpet judgment is a judgment which decimates the east in war. This is an interesting way of looking at it and I can see where you get that, and I agree that is a plausible explanation.

However, for the bowl judgment concerning the kings of the east, I do not think their motive is to fight with each other. I think it is to fight against the Lord. Psalm 2 describes this futile plan. The bible is clear that the armies at Armageddon do not gather to fight each other. Instead, they are united against a common enemy. That “enemy” I believe, is Christ. I would really like to know your thoughts on this.
