Peace And Safety?

Q

I have a question and thought for you on 1 Thes. 5:3 “Peace and Safety”. From what we are seeing in Israel right now it does not look like it can go from war to Peace and Safety. That is what Israel is fighting for. We are seeing everybody around Israel getting into wars and rumors of wars. My question is of the context of the statement have I missed something to think at this point it can go from bad to worse at a moments notice?

A

No matter what the world looks like at any given point in time, Bible prophecy will always come true just as it’s written. Concerning Israel, that means what will happen next will not lead directly to Ezekiel 38, but to a time of peace and safety that has to precede Ezekiel’s battle (Ezek. 38:11). To me that means Israel will soon neutralize the threat from their next door neighbors, setting themselves up for the sneak attack Ezekiel prophesied.

In my opinion 1 Thes. 5:3 will come on the heels of Ezekiel 38, when the anti-Christ emerges as a peace maker (Daniel 8:25) to enforce the covenant mentioned in Daniel 9:27.

As you know the anti-Christ is the first horseman of Rev. 6:1-2 and his efforts to bring peace to the middle east will be seen as a great achievement. This will cause people to say. “Peace and Safety.” But then the second horseman of Rev. 6:3-4 will appear. He has the power to take peace from the Earth and bring the sudden destruction from which the post rapture world will not escape (1 Thes. 5:3).
