Purified In The Seal Judgments?

Q

There seems to be good arguments that Daniel’s 70th week begins with Rev 7 or later with the moon turning red. These arguments present that the church is not protected from the seals and that the church will be purified during this time. Their claims are that the seals are birthing pains. Is it possible that the 70th week does not begin until AFTER the seals are presented?

A

Anyone who teaches that the Church has to be purified through tribulation wants us to believe that the Lord’s death wasn’t sufficient to cover all our sins and we have to do the rest through our suffering.

But according to 2 Cor. 5:17, 21 the church is already a new creation from God’s perspective, as righteous as He is. Romans 3:21-22 says this righteousness comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. And according to Hebrews 10:12-14 we’ve been made perfect forever by the Lord’s once-for-all-time sacrifice. Finally, Ephesians 5:25-27 says Jesus gave himself up for us to make us holy, cleansing us by the washing with water through the Word, to present us to Himself as a radiant Church without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.

How could enduring the seal judgments possibly make us any purer than that?
