Rapture Or Resurrection

Q

Re: John 5:28-29 “Do not marvel at this, for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth–those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.” Remember how Jesus gives a shout at the Rapture? Is the first part Rapture related? And then the 2nd part (those who have done evil) related to the Great White Throne Judgment?

A

In the strictest sense of the word, Jesus was quoting Daniel 12:2 which pertains to Israel. Therefore the first part of His statement refers to the Resurrection of Israel at the time of the 2nd Coming and the 2nd part points to the Great White throne judgment 1000 years later. The Rapture of the Church was not introduced on Earth until 20 years after the cross when Paul wrote the Thessalonian and Corinthian letters. Jesus never spoke of it in the Gospels.
