The Lord’s Birth And Resurrection

What are the original anniversary dates of our Esteemed Lord’s birth and resurrection? I used to have a Pastor who said His birth was probably in Sept. some time. Does this sound right according to what you have studied?

Q. Re: “Tis The Season 2005″, I totally agree with your “Solution” to the multi-cultural holiday dilemma.

One question: What are the original anniversary dates of our Esteemed Lord’s birth and resurrection? I used to have a Pastor who said His birth was probably in Sept. some time? Does this sound right according to what you have studied?

A. The actual date of the Lord’s birth is unclear, but I believe He was born on Rosh Hashannah, the Jewish New Year. It normally falls in mid September on our calendar. Concerning His resurrection, there’s no uncertainty. He rose from the grave on the Feast of First Fruits which always occurs on the Sunday following Passover.
