The Seven Thunders

Q

I’m studying the Book of Revelation and came across Rev.10:4. “And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write, and I heard a voice from Heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.” What does this mean and why wasn’t John allowed to reveal what they said? Thanks for your insight.

A

The fact that the seven thunders were sealed up means no one but John knows what they said and he was not allowed to tell us. For reasons of His own God did not want their message included in John’s writing. Since then there have been many attempts to figure out what the seven thunders said, but to this day their message has not been revealed to us.
