What If Jesus Wasn’t God?

Q. I have not asked a question in a while, but I am a regular visitor to your site. I wanted to ask how a soul can be saved if they believe JESUS is in any way less than GOD himself?

A. Good question.  Only God can forgive sins, and only after the blood of a righteous man has paid our ransom. Only a man who has never sinned can be righteous, and only God has never sinned. If Jesus was not a man he couldn’t have been our kinsman, and if He wasn’t God He couldn’t have qualified as our redeemer.  To be our kinsman redeemer, He had to be both.
