Why Will They Switch?

Q

I was reading your perspective of Revelation, and in chapter 6 you say: “After the true Church is gone, those who also call themselves the church, but have been left behind, won’t have much trouble at all accepting Islam.” Can you please explain why people will switch to Islam after the rapture? Wouldn’t the rapture be proof of Jesus and Christianity?

A

Put yourself in the place of those who will be left behind. They will either have to admit that their belief wasn’t sincere and because of that they’ve missed the greatest event in the Age of the Church, or that the disappearance of millions was due to something else. Which do you think most will choose?

Add to that the facts that many prominent religious leaders will still be here denying the rapture has taken place, and that God will send everyone a powerful delusion so they’ll believe the lie and perish because they refused to accept the truth and be saved (2 Thes. 2:9-12). Since many liberal “christians” believe Allah and God are the same, I don’t think they’ll have much trouble switching, given these circumstances.
