Wrong About 2012?

Q. First I want to say I believe you are a great teacher and have tremendous wisdom.  I enjoy reading your articles and answers.  However, I believe you are incorrect about timing of the rapture.  I was in Bible college when the booklet came out 88 reasons the rapture will occur in 1988.  And as you know it did not come to pass.  If you are correct about the timing of the rapture then that is awesome?  And I would say, Yaaaaaaah!!!!   But how do you think your end time theology will change when you are wrong and 2012 has come and gone?

A. Thanks for the kind words.  As for 2012, first we’ll have to wait and see if I’m wrong.  If I am then I’ll apologize.  It’s just my opinion after all.  But the fact that others have been wrong doesn’t necessarily mean I am too.  Eventually someone has to be right.  Do you have some insight into scripture that makes you believe I’m wrong?   Or did you mean to say if I’m wrong instead of when I’m wrong in your question?
