Millennial Life

Q. Do you believe life at the beginning of the millennium will start out being more simple and less complicated?  For instance do you think families mostly will be farming, planting vineyards, etc, and using the barter system?  I wonder how land will be distributed?  Is this where Isaiah 9 comes into fruition; “The government will be upon his shoulders.”

Is Revelation Chronological?

Q. Does the Bible state a specific time when the seals of Revelation chapter 6 have to be opened?  I always assumed that the events of chapter 6 followed chapter 5 and began  after the rapture and consequently were opened during the first half of the 7 year tribulation period.  A friend of mine and a well studied Bible student says he has recently raised this question himself and finds that nowhere in the word of God does it say specifically when the seals have to begin or that they are limited to be during the seven years of the tribulation.  He has asked, “Why do we assume they are judgments’ of God?”

Was Mary The Lord’s Biological Mother?

Q. Other than my wife, you have been my closest relative in the Lord.  My question is regarding the Virgin Birth of Jesus our savior.  My wife (a baby nurse practitioner) and I are trying to confirm that Jesus was placed in the womb of Mary.  We believe that the entire person of Jesus (egg and sperm; i.e. zygote) was placed in her womb by the Holy Spirit (God).  Luke 1:28-31 are the appropriate verses.

Confessing Our Sins

Q. I would like to know the following.I am aware that Jesus Christ died for my sins, once and for all(me and everybody)  So,all my sins are forgiven, wiped away,I am clean. I assume that He died for my past sins, and the future sins, and that all sins are forgiven.  When “my sinful nature sins again”if I can put it that way,do I still have to ask for forgiveness of sins, (I have allready been forgiven) or do I just repent of my sins before God and admit that I sin and that it is wrong, and then thank Him that He has forgiven me allready?

Should I Stop Witnessing To Her?

Q. This has been something that has been heavy on my heart and I wanted to ask you about it. My mother is a Mormon. She is 67 and converted to Mormonism at 17. A while back ago she and I were were in this discussion about Mormonism and Christianity on the phone.  It did not go well at all. She stuck to her beliefs and I stuck to mine. My mother got mad and hung up on me. We do talk now but there is a line I don’t cross, meaning I keep my beliefs to myself. She told me there are errors in the Bible, she is firm in her beliefs, and that Mormons are the only true church.  Should I no longer try and witness to her? Thank you for all you do. This website has been a blessing. Read Post »

Jesus Or David?

Q. I have been trying to understand if King David will be brought back to Jerusalem when Christ comes again.  Some commentators say he will be like a co-regent with Christ but others comment that the scriptures refer to Christ, not David.  Could you straighten this out for me?

Was Mary Always A Virgin?

Q. Can you tell me if Mary, the Mother of Jesus, finished her life as a virgin.  I’ve heard both versions of this one.  I assumed that after Jesus was born, then the sons and daughter that came after were both hers and Joseph’s.  However I’ve also heard that the additional children were Joseph’s from a different marriage (maybe the woman passed away?)  Do you know which is true, and also, does it even matter whether or not she was a virgin at the end?

People Who Join The Emerging Church Movement

Q. What is going to happen to all the professing believers that are going the way of the Emerging Church? Are they still saved or were they never saved in the first place? Seems like the way is getting narrower day by day … and harder to find a church that earnestly contends for the faith.
