More On The Times Of The Gentiles

Q.  In response to my question about Daniel 2 a pastor told me that Daniel 2:44 was fulfilled when the Church was born on Pentecost and set in motion the defeat of the Roman Empire.  Is this correct?

David’s Throne

Q.  Re: Jeremiah 33:17 “For thus says the Lord: ‘David shall never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel.” Is Jeremiah 33:17 a prophecy of Jesus’ rule during the Millennium (not something to be taken literal regarding David and his descendants, as David does not currently have a descendant on the throne)? When was the Davidic line ended?   When will it re-start?   I believe that I heard a popular Bible teacher state that King David himself (literally) will rule for a time after we are resurrected….is this possible?

Feeling Betrayed

Q. My husband  and I  recently purchased a praise and worship video and now he has become enamored with one of the group’s singers.  He has even dreamed about her.  Divorce is out of the question.  I just need some scriptures to cling to while waiting for the Lord to either change my husband’s mind and actions or for the rapture.  Thank you.

How Can The Church Be Considered Pure?

Q.  I have been following where you are saying that the “Church” is the “bride” of Yeshua.  But isn’t the church supposed to be pure, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish as Ephes, 5:25-27 says?  In my experience the Church is anything but pure, and many don’t even seem to care.   Are we not supposed to be working on ourselves?  I am in a Messianic bible study where they teach us that the Lord could not bring a Church like this to himself.  What do you think?

Bombing Damascus

Q. We have been thinking a lot about Damascus being destroyed by a nuclear bomb. One problem is that the prevailing winds are from west to east, and it appears that the winds could carry the nuclear contamination quite a distance. This could kill a lot of other people outside Damascus and even beyond Syria’s borders.  Do you have any thoughts on this?

The Post Rapture World

Q.  I understand the fact that after the rapture the Holy Spirit will no longer be sealed within those who become believers. It is however too difficult for me to share this with my brothers and sisters in Christ because they continue to look at the New Testament scriptures for the Church and believe God would not give the sealing of the Holy Spirit to one believer and not another, even if it is a Tribulation saint.

What About The Children?

Q.  I understand that children below the age of accountability are not held to account for their sins. This fact raises a question in my mind about the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. God promised Abraham to spare Sodom If only 10 righteous men could be found. In a city of any size there must have been at least 10 children below the age of accountability.  Why do you think these young innocents were not counted as being sufficient to spare the cities that were destroyed?

Do We Really Vanish?

Q. For some time now, I’ve wondered if we will simply disappear at the Rapture. When Jesus ascended to Heaven, He did so visibly. Also, the saints that were raised up appeared in the city to hundreds of people. So where do we get the idea that we would vanish, leaving our clothes behind? Am I missing something here?

A Word From The Lord

Q.  I believe God gives words to people to encourage and to help and maybe to warn.  I just didn’t think he has done so with me, until this last week.  I felt the need to pray and write the prayer to an evangelist.  It was a specific word for them.  I did not receive a reply or comment on my word.  It involved healing.  Is there any way to confirm that a word was from the Lord, if the other side does not confirm it?  Was this a false prophecy and was I listening to the wrong side?  Please, any information regarding receiving a word from the Lord would be helpful.
