Q. I saw on your site an answer to a question about an Assyrian antichrist. I read an article on this which I think seems to make sense. In it, (the author) posits that ‘Asshur,’ translated in our Bibles as ‘Assyria’ is really another name for the antichrist. He then goes on to show how he thinks this is Nimrod, the first ruler and king of Babel. And this being so, he will be the one “who was, now is not, and will be” who will amaze the earth. A lot of it sounds plausible. What do you think?

Q. In your most recent commentary you stated…
“For several years people have been asking if we’re in the Seal Judgments of Rev. 6. They ask these questions because some teachers say the first seals are already open. But the opening of the seal judgments requires the 70th Week of Daniel to have begun, and that can’t happen until Israel is officially back in a covenant relationship with God.”
Can you back that statement up with any actual scripture?

Q. I know Genesis 3:15 is the first reference to a coming redeemer, but my question relates to the comment in that verse where I understand God is speaking to Satan and says “And I will put enmity…between your seed and her seed”. I know what “her seed” is, in reference to many generations to follow. But what does it mean when God says of “your seed” (Satan’s)?

Q. The beast in Rev 13: 1-3 seems to be referring to the restored Roman empire as a group. Then in verse 3 the beast seems to be referring to just one of the horns but still referred to as the beast. Does the beast begin as all of the horns and then is led by just one? Also in verse 3 is the fatal wound describing one of the horns or of one man only.

Q. I have a question concerning Daniel 8:19-25. It speaks of Alexander the Greats’ horn being broken and four that stand up for it and four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation. These I understand as Ptolemy, Cassander, Seleucus, and Lysimachus. But in verse 23 it says “And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.” It seems the “Latter time of their kingdom” would be the time period of the last days that we now live in, or pretty close to it. Do you think there could also be some kind of revival of these four kingdoms in the last days?

Q. My question is regarding a statement that you made on your MP3 study of the Book of Mark. You referenced Hosea 5:15 – 6:1 to support your teaching that in order for the Lord to return the Jewish people would have to officially petition him through a qualified petitioner. You also stated that much of the motivation that Satan has for exterminating the Jewish race is to eliminate the possibility of this happening, and in fact had come very close to accomplishing that objective on more than one occasion. Who are the “qualified” ones among the people of Israel that could petition the Lord and at what other times in history has the devil come close to killing them all off?

Q. Over the years I’ve heard a few people say that the false prophet would be Jewish. The only reasoning for this was that the Jews would not accept him unless he was Jewish. Several days ago while watching a Christian video the speaker said in passing that the false prophet would come from the tribe of Dan. Is there any scriptural basis to think that this could be so? Many thanks for sharing your gift to help us all.

A Bible Study by Jack Kelley
The Beast Of Rev. 13
Then another sign appeared in heaven, an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on his heads. (Rev 12:3)
And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. (Rev 12:7-9)

Q. From what I’ve been reading lately, I presume the anti-Christ and al Mahdi are one and the same. Is this correct ?

Q. The Shia Islamists believe the Mahdi will set up his kingdom in Iraq, while the Bible indicates the Antichrist will rule from Babylon. Is it likely the Mahdi is the Antichrist?
