Israel and The Church In The New Covenant

Q.  What do you believe concerning  the Church’s participation in the New Covenant, if they do, without fulfilling the covenant, which is for the true Jew.  Also, do we participate in the other covenants in a spiritual sense. I feel a little strange using that language because it lends it self to the whole “the Church is Israel or spiritual Israel, which is a complete lie and a very big heresy today in most churches. I know there are several views on the Church and New covenant participation, what is your belief on these issues of the Church and the Jewish promises?

Church Business

Q. I am writing for a recommendation concerning my church. It is a great church that teaches the word of God and I am happy with that. Outside the sanctuary there’s a book store that charges for books.  There are also classes that charge for the books and study materials they use.  I’m concerned that the poor and needy that Jesus told us to take care of are being excluded from these resources.  Should I be doing something about this or am I just concerned about nothing?

Is Acts 2:17-18 Meant For Gentiles?

Q.  Re: Why Won’t People Listen?  Your answer begins, “You’re referring to Acts 2:17-18.”  How can Acts 2:17-18 be applied to Gentiles?  All that were there at this meeting were Jewish believers in Jesus.  I realize it says “all flesh” but it also says “your sons and your daughters” and “your young men …, and your old men”.  I have been led to believe that this refers to the believing remnant of Israel in the tribulation.  Zechariah12:10

Are Messianic Jews Part Of The Church?

Q.  Can you clarify if converted Jews that are now part of the church are supposed to keep the law? I’m not referring to the sacrifices, but to the feasts, kosher eating, observance of the Jewish calendar.  Some family members who are Christian are now part of a Messianic congregation and they acknowledge salvation through Jesus, are now only eating kosher, keeping their feasts, and say we are drafted into Israel and the early church members were Jews that still kept all of that.

Another Replacement Theology Question

Q. I was born and raised in a church that teaches Replacement Theology.  However 3 years ago I began to understand the Jewish roots of Christianity. As a consequence I have been rejected and told to seek God and get saved and to stop studying ‘The Old Testament’ since the church are the spiritual Jews and that I had lost my way being an advocate of the Jewish people.  My question, why is there such a rejection of the Jewish people in the church?
