Q. Hebrews 11:1 says faith is the assurance of things hoped for. Well then, what is hope? Sometimes it seems like I can’t win for losing.

I’ve often heard, “You are saved as long as you ask forgiveness of your sins”, or you repent. I was brought up to always repent of my sins so I ask forgiveness every night. I’m not saying that we shouldn’t repent once we are saved because I believe that it humbles us to repent and to have the Holy Spirit search our hearts for any unrepentant sin. I’m just saying or asking why? Why put that big “if” in there?

James 2:14-26 is giving me fits, referring several times to faith without works being dead. It seems to contradict justification by faith alone as well as having implications to once-saved-always-saved. There must be a logical reconciliation but so far it has eluded me. What are your thoughts on this?

En una reciente reunión de emergencia de los ministros de relaciones exteriores árabes, se produjeron divisiones pronunciadas cuando los estados árabes moderados denunciaron a Hezbolá por haber iniciado el conflicto, según el noticiario Fox. In response to ‘Love your Enemies’, I often find it difficult to obtain a balanced view of this scripture. Personally, I hate any sort of confrontation so it would be easy for me to ‘turn the other cheek’, but in your comments you say we are not to be doormats. How are the two viewpoints reconciled?

Can you give me a little history about the Doctrine of losing salvation? When did it first appear in the church and who brought it out into the open? Thanks

Revelation chapters 7-9 cover the first group of 144,000 (there are two), the Great Multitude of tribulation martyrs with their unique destiny, and the seventh seal, which introduces the second cycle of God’s wrath, called the Trumpet Judgments. Six of the seven Trumpet Judgments are unleashed on Planet Earth in chapter 9. Read Post »
