But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Romans 1
The Rapture is getting closer by the day. The Church's days on Earth are clearly numbered and whether we're taken up this year or not it's certainly not too soon to prepare. With that in mind we'll begin a study of Paul's Letter to the Romans, the Gospel according to Paul.

In recent articles, we've focused on the prophetic nature of the seven letters of Revelation 2-3. Now let's shift to another level of application. I've offered the opinion that all the letters are applicable to all congregations throughout the church age and to each member of those congregations. The challenges and promises that end the letters are to individuals, so the criticism found in the letters is meant to be taken personally, not just corporately.

For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life and only a few find it.

Chapter 19

With the final and total destruction of Babylon, God’s enemies have been all but defeated and the war for Planet Earth is just about over. “Hallelujah,” we all shouted from Heaven, “For our Lord God Almighty reigns!” Hallelujah is a Hebrew word meaning “Praise the Lord” and after the fact I was surprised to learn that I’m the only New Testament writer who used it.

We've been comparing Habakkuk's prophecies of the Babylonian conquest of Judah in 600 BC with current events where powerful forces from the same region have once again risen in battle against God's people. Is this mere coincidence or is history repeating itself?

Chapter 15

Back in Heaven seven angels appeared along with the seven golden bowls of God’s Wrath, His last series of judgments. When these were over His enemies would be vanquished and His victory complete. Just then another large group of martyrs arrived from Earth and stood before His throne.

Is God so insecure that He has to put us through agonizing tests to prove that we love Him?
