Q. I was just wondering about your belief, that Jesus’ second coming will probably occur at most by 2018 and I know you use the 70-80 years of life from the bible and Israel’s rebirth of 1948 as your calculation for this date. But I was just wondering how come you’re so sure it is 70 years that’s to be added to 1948 instead of 80, which would make the second coming at most by 2028? Don’t get me wrong, I want Jesus to rapture us today and I know that whenever that day will be, it will surely be the right one since it is God who will be making the decision, but I was just curious about that.

Q. I’ve been going through a study in Genesis by (a popular Bible Teacher). If Jacob is Israel and Esau is the father of the Palestinians, and Jacob and his mother tricked his father into blessing him, when in deed the blessing was meant for Esau, no wonder the Palestinians have been so angry and defiant all these years. Can you explain to me how/why God would honor such a trick by blessing the 12 tribes of Israel and the Abrahamic covenant via Jacob when it seems that is was done so dishonestly?

Q. Why do you and many others refer to the beginning of the Times of the Gentiles as starting with Nebuchadnezzar instead of earlier when the Assyrians conquered northern Israel? Why isn’t that part of the reigning and trampling of Gentiles?

Recently I was challenged to make a list of all the passages in the Bible that hint of a pre-trib rapture. As you may know I believe Paul was the first person on Earth to present a clear pre-trib teaching, about 20 years after the cross. Before that time it was unknown because Jesus didn’t teach it to His other disciples during their time together. And since the Olivet Discourse is directed at Israel, there’s no mention of it there either, even though the end times is in view. Israel will not participate in the rapture.

Q. In the King James Version of Daniel 2:1-11, it says that Nebuchadnezzar had forgotten the dream that so troubled him. However, in the New International Version, it suggests that he did not forget the dream but instead did not trust his wise men to render an accurate interpretation. Therefore, in order to be sure they got it right, he required that they tell him the dream and the interpretation. This raises a red flag of discrepancy between the two versions. Can you help clarify the difference?

Q. I thought I’d add something to consider regarding a generation. I have looked at 70 years as the date of a generation. Also 40 years etc… The Bible tells us that no man shall live more than 120 years (after the period of the flood) and in fact that is the age of Moses when God took him. So in my estimation the very last date would be 1948 + 120 years or at the extreme latest 1967 + 120 years. Your thoughts?

Q. What sin did Cain’s wife commit to have equal punishment of her husband, being banished from God? Surely, God wouldn’t punish her just for being ‘married’ to Cain, would He? As there were no ‘priests’, etc to perform the marriage ceremony, how was this ritual performed, and by whom?

Q. Who, really, is speaking in Proverbs Chapter 8? The scripture seems to suggest it is “wisdom” doing the talking, but isn’t wisdom a condition — a state of being — as opposed to an entity? Whoever is doing the talking seems to be corporeal. It’s a beautiful chapter, but I am a bit baffled as to who is doing this oration. Thank you for the wonderful work you do.

(note: I originally published this article in 2000, but with the Obama administration’s renewed emphasis on achieving an agreement between Israel and the Palestinians, I’ve updated it and offer it for your consideration.)
