Q. I read a christian’s comment on something in a blog. She said “Don’t be double minded or the Bible says you won’t receive anything.” I know this bible verse and it always confuses me, mostly I find it very distressing. Does this mean that we have to maintain unfluctuating faith without any fearful thought, doubt or negative imagination? Most times these things attack very easily my mind. Am I in danger that the Lord will not help me or grant a promise if my faith is fluctuating? Do these above mentioned characteristics mean double mindedness? And does unwavering faith mean the lack of these characteristics?

Q. I hope all is well and I have yet another question. And to keep it short and simple, who is right when two (or more) christians disagree about something and everybody is using and/or saying “I’ve prayed about it, God confirmed it, etc.”. Or better yet, what did the disciples/apostles do when they disagreed. And the ironic thing is, is that it’s typically church leadership disagreeing with an “unknown” laymen church goer, who I believe is right.

Q. I am a 22 year old Christian male with same sex attraction(not in a gay lifestyle) and haven’t had counseling yet. My relationship with God has seemed like a mess and no connection for over year now. In fact, I have a fear that I wouldn’t go to heaven if I died. I also have a fear of rapture/tribulation that I’d be left behind. Could this SSA be a stumbling block in my walk with God? I have considered talking to a pastor about it.

Q. I have a question. What should I do when my own country is pressuring Israel to give up more of the Holy Land? I am so distressed in these the last days, when my own country America, which I love, is working against the plan of God in the Holy Land. Read Post »

Q. I have been visiting your site for some time now and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Recently I received e-mail from the Reformation Book Store. They were advertising a book on the dangers of dispensationalism. It says that this belief causes confusion about how to pray for our Nation and the world because we believe the Bible predicts what will happen and there is nothing we can do about it, so why pray. I have to admit that I feel confused about this too. When we read that “there will be perilous times” why should we pray for wise leaders? What do you say on this subject? Read Post »

Q. When reading your article “The End times According to Isaiah, Part 12″ I was struck by the message for today-that we are to pray for peace in Israel. How do we do this? We know that there will be no peace in Israel until the Lord comes. God has told us that the times for Israel are going to get quite bad. I would like to pray for Israel but I don’t know how to go about it. How do I pray for peace when God has already said there will be no peace? Could you share with me how you pray for Israel? O God, whom I praise, do not remain silent, for wicked and deceitful men have opened their mouths against me; they have spoken against me with lying tongues. With words of hatred they surround me; they attack me without cause. In return for my friendship they accuse me, but I am a man of prayer. They repay me evil for good, and hatred for my friendship.

My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing and make music with all my soul. Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.
I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, and let your glory be over all the earth. Save us, and help us with your right hand, that those you love may be delivered. Read Post »

Q. I am increasingly aware of the pressure on Israel from Islamists and their so-called supporters, especially over the recent (and ongoing) crisis in Palestine.
My problem lies here. I know that it is right that Israel should not bow to the manipulation and aggression of her enemies, but how, as Christians, do we reconcile this with the scripture in Romans 12, which tells us to love our enemies and be kind to those who hurt us. To not repay evil with evil, but defeat it by doing good. Thank you for your wisdom. Read Post »
