Millennium Or Eternity?

Q. I know that all whose names were not found in the book of life are going to be thrown in the lake of fire (Rev. 20:15).  Why then does it say later on that nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it (New Jerusalem), but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life. (Rev. 21:27)

I guess it seems like an obvious question, but here it almost indicated that there will be those who are unclean who exist outside the city, but they will never be able to enter. Is the lake of fire outside the New Jerusalem, or are these sinners who live outside of the city?

Why Start Counting in 1948?

Q. Thanks again for the time you put into this ministry. I know it is a huge benefit to so many.  My question is regarding the “last generation” mentioned in Matthew and Luke, at Olivet. You have said that 1948 and the re-birth of Israel ’start the clock’ – meaning the generation alive/being born during that time will be around to see the return of messiah.

After several readings of the Matthew and Luke Passages, It seems to me that the generation referred to is the generation that sees the beginning of the tribulation – THAT generation will live to see the return of messiah.  Would you mind explaining why my reasoning might be incorrect?

More On God’s Wrath

Q. After some serious cosmic & earthly occurrences shake things up the people in Revelation 6:16-17 are afraid and want to be hid from the face of Him on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb.  “For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”   Assuming Revelation is fairly chronological, the “great day of His wrath” doesn’t really start until the Great Tribulation in general and Armageddon battle specifically, so why are they saying this early on in the 6th Seal judgment?

Who Is The False Prophet?

Q. I have heard hundreds of people ask “Who is the AntiChrist?” but I don’t believe I have ever heard anyone ask “Who is the False Prophet?”   I have been studying Revelation all afternoon (mostly in your series of articles) and I am stuck on Rev 13-14.  Some teach that the False Prophet will be a Jew from the tribe of Dan.  I believe I have read that you believe that too.  So he will be a natural man.  But the Anti Christ comes up out of the sea and I believe he is a spirit who will take possession of a man’s body, so who he is in reality doesn’t matter a whole lot.  Could you give me some more insight on this? More On The Blood Moons

Q. Concerning the so-called blood moon eclipses that are coming in 2014-2015.  Could it be that these eclipses mark(signify) the start of the second half of the tribulation?  Are they the Blood Moons spoken of in Joel 2:31 and Rev. 6:12 ?

Who Is Singing In Rev. 5?

Q. Re: Rev. 5:8-10.  I really appreciate you taking your time to answer my questions.  In your last reply you mentioned that the Church is in Heaven in Revelation 5 based on verses 9 and 10.  Don’t these verses refer to the  4 living creatures and the elders mentioned in verse 8 and not the redeemed from the rapture?

Prophecy in the Psalms?

Q. I wonder if you subscribe to the view that the Psalms may well correlate with major Israel-related events numerically? i.e. Psalm 48 corresponds to 1948 etc.  A look at Psalm 110 raises the possibility that the Psalm 83 and Isaiah 17 war might occur this year, all the more likely looking at the developments in that region now.
Also, a reading of Psalm 118 tells me that it describes the war of Armageddon and the coming of Jesus to rescue Israel – there is simply no other psalm like it. Could this point to the 7th year of the tribulation being 2018?

Rapture References, Part 3 … Conclusion

Table of contents for Rapture References

  1. Rapture References
  2. Rapture References, Part 2
  3. Rapture References, Part 3 … Conclusion

A Bible Study by Jack Kelley

This is the final installment of our three part series on rapture references in the Bible. We concluded part two with Paul’s letters to the Thessalonians. Written about 20 years after the cross, they were the first definitive teaching on the rapture given on Earth, and as we saw Paul placed it before the End Times judgments, saying the Church was not appointed to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thes. 5:9).

About three years after the Thessalonian letters Paul wrote 1 Corinthians and in chapter 15 added more detail to his rapture teaching. We’ll begin the final installment there.

A Cashless Society, Follow Up

Q. In regards to A Cashless Society, in North Carolina we now have to put our hand on a scanner when we go to a clinic at the hospital to prove who we are.  Is this going to lead to us putting our hand on a scanner when we want to buy food, etc?  Sounds to me like ‘666′!  Could this be a sign?

Who Are The Onlookers Of Ezekiel 38:13?

Q. Re: The onlookers in Ezekiel 38:13.  Who is likely characterized as Sheba, Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish (and all of their young lions) in this passage? I’ve heard that it may be a reference to a placated US government as well as some veiled reference to Revived Rome. It appears by the passage that they are questioning the apparent invasion in an effort to push diplomacy.
