A Bible Study by Jack Kelley
In part one of this series we explored some of the clearest hints from the Old Testament that the Lord has always intended to rapture the Church before the End Times judgments begin. This time we’ll continue with a two part survey of the New Testament. Because Paul was the first to reveal the mystery of the Rapture, we won’t expect to find a clear explanation in the Gospels, but since we already know about it, we’ll be able to spot a couple of hints here and there. Shall we continue?

Q. Why do you and many others refer to the beginning of the Times of the Gentiles as starting with Nebuchadnezzar instead of earlier when the Assyrians conquered northern Israel? Why isn’t that part of the reigning and trampling of Gentiles?

Q. Today I received a revelation from “Israel my glory” magazine which confused my biblically uneducated mind and I need your help. Satan doesn’t have the ability to restore life once someone is dead. Does the AntiChrist come back to life after receiving the apparently deadly head wound as I have always believed? My study bible says maybe the reference is to the Roman Empire or to the AntiChrist but doesn’t really say either one is for sure the healed item.

Recently I was challenged to make a list of all the passages in the Bible that hint of a pre-trib rapture. As you may know I believe Paul was the first person on Earth to present a clear pre-trib teaching, about 20 years after the cross. Before that time it was unknown because Jesus didn’t teach it to His other disciples during their time together. And since the Olivet Discourse is directed at Israel, there’s no mention of it there either, even though the end times is in view. Israel will not participate in the rapture.

Q. I have wondered if Suleiman the Magnificent ever gave a decree (in the 1500’s) to rebuild and restore Jerusalem like Cyrus did? I know it was exact to the day that Jesus rode into Jerusalem on the donkey from the day Cyrus (?) gave the decree. Might there be a double fulfillment of prophecy to know when the Second Coming to earth of the Messiah will be?

Q. Why do so many people shy away from teaching or even talking about the end of the age? I have a pastor that I truly love and have great respect. He has brought me up in the Word and has changed my life. I have been in his congregation for 25 years and my wife even longer and we don’t plan on leaving anytime soon. He is a wonderful full gospel teacher yet he really shies away from anything that pertains to end time prophecy. I have tried to speak to him about it, but he avoids my questions.

Q. Re: Amos 1:6-7. I first discovered this scripture about the time I discovered the scripture about the destruction of Damascus. Is this part of the Psams 83 prophecy about the defeat of Egypt and the destruction of Damascus? Isn’t Jordan a part of this as well and Amman Jordan destroyed at this time?
Thanks for your web site. it is truly a breath of fresh air in a world full of luke warmness, It is certainly meat and not milk.

Q. I have a roommate who was born and raised in Poland. The Polish people still talk about WWII and relive it as if it were still ongoing. My roommate believes the German’s are in a position to try and take over Europe and eventually the world. I try and point out to him that the Bible doesn’t seem to give Germany that role. From your expert opinion, what is the future of Germany? Are they the ruling power over the European Union or are they just another country that makes up the whole?

Q. In a recent article a Christian author and activist made this appeal on the internet to God’s remnant “If you want to be a part of something to stop the free fall we’re in as a nation, I need to hear from you soon” (regarding her prayer to beseech God to rescue our nation). This person said “I believe it will touch the heart of God and maybe, just maybe, cause Him to take note of our distress, hear our cry, remember His covenant with our nation and, out of His great love, relent from the judgment we deserve.” What covenant could this person be referring to? Do you know of a covenant God made with our nation?
