Rapture On April 6?

Q. Re: Rapture References.  I really enjoyed subject article.  Your identifying Daniel 3 as describing End Times events was new to me.  However, the reason for this email is to ask if you see the coming of renewing animal sacrifice at Passover 2010 as an indication that God will again be focusing on Israel as of that date/time.  I’m just wondering if that could mean that the Rapture will occur before April 6, assuming such sacrifices actually occur?  When I first read about this a couple weeks ago, it seemed profound to me; but I haven’t found anyone else who seems to make the same connection.  Am I reaching too much?  I would appreciate your thoughts on this.

What If I’m Not Worthy?

Q. I sympathize with those who aren’t excited about the rapture because of a secret fear they won’t qualify to go.  I sometimes have these fears myself, although I’ve been a born again believer for many years.  I know I don’t deserve to escape the punishment due me and I worry that at the rapture the Lord will agree with my assessment and leave me here.  What can those of us with these fears do to overcome them?

A Bible Study by Jack Kelley

This is the final installment of our three part series on rapture references in the Bible. We concluded part two with Paul’s letters to the Thessalonians. Written about 20 years after the cross, they were the first definitive teaching on the rapture given on Earth, and as we saw Paul placed it before the End Times judgments, saying the Church was not appointed to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thes. 5:9).

About three years after the Thessalonian letters Paul wrote 1 Corinthians and in chapter 15 added more detail to his rapture teaching. We’ll begin the final installment there.

More On Average Lifespans. 70 Years Or 80?

Q. Regarding the question of how long is a generation. I’m in agreement with those who favor the 70 yrs…but I’m wondering about the verse in Psalms that says a generation is “…70 years or because of strength, 80″.  Strength of what?   Strength of individuals?, the economy?, the military?, morals?,….if this verse is saying that a generation may stretch to 80 years, then how is that measured?   Frankly, considering the way our country/world is going, 70 seems more likely than 80.

God’s Wrath vs. Satan’s Wrath

Q. Can you help me understand the difference (if there is one)  between God’s Wrath, Satan’s Wrath, and the Great Tribulation?  I heard someone say the Church will be here for Satan’s wrath but not God’s wrath.  I thought Satan’s wrath was the same as the Great Tribulation.  Doesn’t the Rapture come before the Great Tribulation?  I’m really confused about these terms.

Who Goes Where And When?

Q. I recently read your article about the pre trib rapture in which you seemed to indicate that all the people with the exception of Israel will either be destroyed or cast off the earth after the rapture. Perhaps I read it wrong. If not what about the tribulation saints?

Are Messianic Jews In The Church?

Q. Have just been reading your article re the rapture of the church.  Enjoyed it very much and am just waiting, day by day for the Lord  to come.  A question.  I have been to Israel a number of times, and am interested just where you would put the Messianic Jews.  Their numbers are quite large now, and they are increasing daily.  Do you think they are considered as Jews or as the church?  What a witness that would/will be to the rest of the Israelis if they are raptured with the rest of us.    Thanks for your help.

Finding The Jubilee Year

Q. How important is it to accurately know when the next jubilee year is?  According to Josephus, the last Jubilee celebrated in the land was in the fall of 27 A.D.  (A well known author) also said that Jesus started His public ministry in 27 A.D. by reading from Isa. 61:1-2, proclaiming the favorable year of the Lord.  Wouldn’t it be very likely that He will also return in the next jubilee year in 2027-2028?  That puts the rapture around 2020.  I hope the next jubilee year is in 2017-2018, but wouldn’t Josephus’ date be accurate?  Thanks for all your diligent work!

Body Or Bride?

Q. I’m having trouble distinguishing from Scripture if we are the Body of Christ or the bride of Christ. I have a pastor who teaches we are the Body and Israel is the Bride of Christ according to Scripture.  Can you please lead my to Scripture to distinguish between the two?

Are God’s Wrath And The Great Tribulation The Same?

Q. There are some Bible verses that seem to indicate that we (The Church) will be here during the tribulation or at least the first part of it.  It also indicates that we are not appointed to suffer wrath.  I always figured that God’s wrath and the tribulation were the same and the rapture would take place before.  Some of the prophecy web sites I visit just add to my confusion but can make a good point that wrath and the tribulation are different events.  I was wondering if you could shed some light on this for me.
