Q. I know you don’t have time for silly questions, but I have been thinking about this every day for almost 2 years, since my mother died unexpectedly. My mother was a true believer, so I know she is with Jesus. At the rapture, the dead in Christ will rise first, and those of us who are alive will join them in the clouds. Right? This would be purely speculation on your part, I realize, but do you think that we will be reunited with the ones we love immediately, right there in the clouds?

Q. I’m part of a Bible group and we’re all believers, but this one girl is convinced that Christians will go through the tribulation. I tried to explain to her that, since we are already believers, we have accepted His sacrifice for sin and we have His imputed Righteousness, why in the world would His body (the church) suffer His wrath?

Q. You wrote; “According to my understanding, raptured believers will go to Heaven where we will take up residence in the New Jerusalem. There will be no contact with Earth during the time between the Rapture and the 2nd Coming, but during the Millennium visitation to Earth will be possible. Jesus will be prominent both on Earth and in the New Jerusalem during the Millennium.” Would you please explain how you support these statements Scripturally?

Q. My question is this; As followers of Jesus and believers in the pre-trib rapture, how can we protect ourselves from re-occurring doubts about the rapture? I know of the importance of staying in the world and memorizing scripture to counteract the attacks of the enemy and I am trying to do that. It’s just that I am particularly surrounded by opposition to faith in the rapture and often begin to doubt and begin to think that I might be so motivated to believe that I convince myself it is truth, especially when the Bible can be interpreted to say otherwise at times. Do you have any suggestions beyond the basics of nurturing our faith such as time in fellowship with the Lord, time studying His word, fellowship with like-minded believers, etc.? What is the best way to utterly put this issue to rest in our own hearts and get own with the work He has for each us now?

Q. I came across your site earlier this year and have looked forward to reading it every day possible since. When you have a chance I wonder if you could give me your thoughts on something. Even as a child and to this day, when I read 1 Thes.4:15 – 17, I wonder why the word “remain” is used. The verses make it sound like, at the day of the resurrection/rapture, there will be few true believers left alive, like there is a great worldwide deathly persecution just before that day.

Q. I thank you for your dedication to the Lord and His word. I hope you don’t mind but I use some of your Q & A’s that address basic issues in my jail ministry. They are very helpful.
My question is regarding the idea we will be watching the great tribulation from heaven like we had some grandstand seat to a sporting event. I spent nearly two years in combat and 22 years as a street cop. I’ve seen mans inhumanity toward man. I’ve seen mans horror until I cried out to the Lord to ” please let someone kill me tonight, I don’t want to see any more”. This I did many times.

Q. My son is 19 years old with many ideas, hopes and dreams for his future. I remember how I felt at his age. He wants to experience life as he knows it and serve the Lord here. I told him that the Lord has wonderful work for us to do when we are raptured. What do you think we will be doing after the rapture? What does the Bible say about this? Obviously things on earth will be heating up. Will we be dispatched to serve Him in any way?

Q. I was raised in the church and taught a “Dispensational and pre-tribulational” view. I still believe it to the depths of my soul and believe Scripture teaches it. However, when I see things written today about what will take place, such as the Rapture, etc, it comes across “cultic.” Suddenly it sounds ridiculous like we’re some sort of “Heavens Gate” cultist’s waiting for the ultimate alien to rescue us. When I was growing up it didn’t come across that way, why now? I don’t like that and I ask the Lord to help me see it the way he does.
